The process of design is often hidden. We think it should be more visible. Through emails, sketches, screenshots, drafts, and a first-person running narration, each issue aims to transparently show how things are made in the world; how people find work, initiate projects, organize, communicate, collaborate, negotiate, experiment, make, iterate, edit, distribute, document, and share.
Issues can be purchased for $10 at Printed Matter in New York, Stout Books in San Francisco, and Hopscotch Reading Room in Berlin.
After a retail split, we net slightly less than our current cost of production. The low retail price is intended to keep these accessable for students.
If you would like to purchase issues directly as a set, and in doing so suport the project’s sustainability, you can pay what you can here:
#6-9 (F26) for $40 or $80 (suggested price for institutions)
#1-5 (S26) for $50 or $100 (suggested price for institutions)
All revenue goes towards producing future issues.
Multiple pamphlets will be published each fall and spring semester.
